Relationships Should Be Held with an Open Hand

God’s intent is to lead us into relationships of His choosing. Many of these relationships will be in passing, others will be for a season of time and a few we will carry in our hearts for a lifetime. When a relationship is finished, God will bring about something to divide that relationship. He uses such things as a move to a different location, or permitting things that were once held in common to change. God has many avenues He uses to move people on.

He knows that in continually moving us into new relationships there will be a need for constant adjustment that will help us grow. If we persist in holding on to a relationship that in God’s sight is finished, that relationship becomes inordinate. It will break on its own leaving a place of woundedness that must be healed before we can travel on. If this should happen, it will slow down the Holy Spirit’s process of moving us forward in the kingdom. All relationships should be held with an open hand. Friendships that are birthed in God will blossom into relationships God can use in His kingdom business.

Proverbs 119:63
I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts.
