Seeing Our Imperfections

When man is creating a useable tool, many procedures are necessary to make it effective. The tool must be worked and reworked so any failure or error can be seen and corrected. The same applies to us in the spiritual realm. Until an imperfection is shown to a man, he feels himself perfect. So God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, works in man bringing him into the light so the places of imperfection can be identified, and the rough places made smooth.

Correction from God comes so we might be changed and not make the same mistakes twice. Sometimes it is necessary for God to give us full reign in order that we might learn our lessons well. How often in the natural realm a child might hurt himself to learn a valuable lesson, and so it is in God’s kingdom. We, too, must learn from our errors in order to walk in safety as we move forward on God’s pathway of life.

1 Peter 5:10
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
