The Lord will permit trials to enlarge our patience and endurance as we continue on the pathway that leads to life in Him. He will not prolong any trial except that which will benefit His kingdom and our life in Him. Each situation that the Holy Spirit brings us into is to try us with fire so that which remains will be eternal. Many times we find His ways difficult and trying to our natural man. Yet these trials are to prove us and to burn all that is not profitable for drawing us nearer to the Father’s heart.
Each step we take brings us closer to a greater intensity of the Holy Spirit’s searching light. God will continue to equip us to endure a greater amount of His presence. His light will stabilize us more and more upon the Rock, which is Christ Jesus. Those who sit in darkness will see the light of Christ in us.
Hebrew 12:7
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
